“Helping people in my community makes me feel like I am fulfilling my purpose.”

I grew up in Southwest Florida. While attending school at the University of Florida, I volunteered at St. Francis and knew that I wanted to be a social worker. Many women in my family worked in the medical field and I saw a correlation between helping people with medical care and being a social worker. After completing my undergraduate degree at the University of Florida, I went on to complete my Masters in Social Work at the University of South Florida.

I have pursued work in social work combined with medical care for my career:

  • Worked in a Bradenton hospice
  • Worked in home health care
  • Worked in a skilled nursing facility
  • Worked at Manatee Memorial Hospital in an acute care setting
  • Currently working as an independent private care manager and guardian (OECM)

By working independently, I am able to build long term relationships with my clients and their families. I am able to help them navigate their way through a very challenging health care system.

When I am not helping others, I enjoy spending time with my wonderful husband, family, and close friends. I enjoy spending time on the beach, cooking, and taking my dog on nature walks. I also love going to concerts and attending sporting events. I love the Brandenton/Sarasota area and I love the people who make up this wonderful community. My goal is to help those who need help to reduce their stress and worry about the care of their aging parents or other family member.
